What Others Are Saying About His Book:

This is a rare glimpse of the horror of warfare through the eyes of brave and inexperienced young sailors. I could feel the atmosphere of it all- the overconfidence of the crew, the anxiety and fear due to limited information - and then, the call to action!

The Battle of the Coral Sea is a famous moment in the history of air and sea power, a major turning point in World War Two. Its story is told as only someone who had experienced it could convey. It is nothing short of a miracle to have come through this alive. - Richard Gamel. Sr. Airman. U.S. Air Force, Korean War Veteran

His book gives a lot of insight into life on carriers Yorktown and Lexington during the famous World War Two Battle of the Coral Sea.

The men who served on these ships did everything asked of them by their ship and country to bring about peace and safety for the U.S.A. I recommend this book to any sailor, especially carrier sailors. - W.A. "Bill" Johnson. President of the USS Coral Sea Association
